Sundays are my favorite day of the week. It's the one day that I don't have to set an alarm and give my energy to anyone other than myself. So, I always like to use this day to relax and recharge before another hectic week. Below are some of my favorite #SelfcareSunday rituals - try some out for yourself! You deserve it.
Turn off your phone.
In addition to being able to wake up slow without an alarm clock, it's also super refreshing to unplug for the day and enjoy life without social media, emails, etc.
Chase the sun.
Whether it's a walk around my neighborhood, a beautiful beach day, or an outdoor lunch with a friend...soaking up the sunshine always recharges my body and makes me feel brand new.
Treat yourself to a mini spa day.
I absolutely adore this routine. Every Sunday I make it a point to scrub my body with lavender body scrub, apply my fancy June Jacobs papaya face mask, and then lather myself in coconut body butter before painting my nails. Nothing makes me feel more ready to tackle the week than pretending I'm at a 5-star spa in the comfort of my own home.
Fuel your body.
Sometimes I crave a good sweat sesh on my days off...other times I need rest and relaxation. Listen to what your body is telling you and fuel it appropriately. I also love to do my grocery shopping for the week on Sundays, picking out fresh breakfasts and lunches for the week.
Writing down the 10 things I am most grateful for, as well as what the highlights and the low points of the previous week were is another one of my Sunday routines. I think checking in with your internal compass is an undeniably healthy habit.
Sitting down to schedule my workouts for the week, plan my meals, arrange dates with friends, and manage personal appointments is something I do every Sunday to set myself up for success for the next week.
